Satish Seemar (Zabeel Stables, Dubai)

Satish has been training at the very highest level in Dubai for some 16 years from his base at the beautifully appointed Zabeel Stables, just a stone's throw from the centre of town.

During this time he has trained the winners of almost 500 races and in each of the past five years has won approximately 8 million Dhs for his owners.

Satish oversees the well-being of some 100 horses, he has saddled 12 Carnival winners and been Champion Trainer in Dubai 3 times.

He quotes: “I have had the pleasure of training for Dubai Thoroughbred Racing for the past two seasons now in Dubai. I have found the organization and running of the syndicate to be top class and totally professional. They have an extensive knowledge of the racing industry both domestic and internationally. I am particularly impressed with the way they are able to purchase good horses for sensible prices, to enjoy success with them and then they are invariably offered as much as three times the purchase value for many of their horses.

We were lucky enough to have creditable success with Lundy's Lane during last years Dubai International Racing Carnival with a win and two seconds. DTR have now added force to the Dubai team with the purchase of Corriolanus, a horse who has top class Carnival form already.

Tim Walker, the syndicate manager, is an extremely approachable and professional person who has a fantastic understanding of racing and from a trainer's point of view I find him very easy to deal with. I wish them luck for many seasons to come.”

Andrew took over the reins at Park House Stables from his father Ian in 2003.

At the age of 32 he has already trained a Classic winner in Casual Look, the Vodafone Oaks 2003 and has been voted International Trainer of the year 2005.

Andrew trains some 125 horses at Kingsclere and to date has trained approximately 200 winners amassing over 4 million stg in prize money for his owners.

He has trained the winners of Group races around the world including UK, Hong Kong, Dubai and Canada.

He quotes: “It has been my pleasure to train for Dubai Thoroughbred Racing from the very beginning of my training career and they supplied me with my second ever winner, Yalla Lara in January 2003.

I am particularly impressed by the prudent and professional way in which Tim Walker runs DTR.

His success at the sales has been excellent, borne out by the purchase of Listed winner Dubaian Gift for 6500gns who won £100,000 and Dubaian Duel two years later for 2000gns who won £65,000 and was sold within one year for 110,000gns. Also the inspired purchases of Lundy's Lane and Corriolanus who now reside in Dubai.

I hope to be able to train winners for them for many years to come.”
